A Hunting Heater

A portable pellet stove used as a hunting heater in duck blind

The word is out that Timber Stoves are an excellent Tent Heater for Hunting enthusiasts. Recently attending the Pacific Northwest Sportsmen’s Show, the most quoted line of the day was, “ you mean I can actually get a full night’s sleep?” yes you can with the efficient gravity feed system that is within these camping heaters. See Lil’ Timber and Big Timber product pages to get the details on burn times and the Hopper Extension accessory.

Tyson, we all really enjoy the Lil Timber heater. It was used everyday, all season long in a Sauvie Island Duck blind to keep warm during a record cold and wet winter. In fact, over 50 days hunting and running the Lil Timber heater in the duck blind, sometimes over barren sky’s and after failed hunting opportunities. Some of the best days where telling stories of past hunting successes close to the Lil Timber heater in the duck blind waiting for a duck to fly within shooting range.

Enclosed flame regulation

During the certain times of the year when the weather is too hot and dry, campgrounds will not allow any open flame fires. They don’t want to take chances when it comes to the safety of their campers and the well being of the park. Our outdoor heaters are considered an enclosed flame that allows you to keep burning even when open flame regulation occurs. Regulation is determined by individual counties so you can talk to the local county sheriff to find out what is and isn’t allowed at that time of year.

Portability

Timber Stoves are compact and easily disassembled for storage and transportation. The stove pipe is detachable and can be broken down. For details on weight and sizes, check out the heater product pages.

Low Eco Impact

People who spend time in the outdoors tend to have more respect for it. If keeping your carbon footprint to a minimum is an important goal of yours, burning a biomass fuel like wood pellets is a great option when compared to propane.
