WHAT MAKES A GOOD PELLET?
First and foremost, you want to make sure you’re purchasing Heating pellets, not BBQ pellets. Heating pellets won’t have any flavor additives and will have a higher BTU rating compared to BBQ pellets.
The best way to determine whether a pellet brand will work well in our heaters is by checking the BTU rating that should be labeled on the packaging. Most pellets with a rating of 8,000 BTU/Hr or higher will work great with our heaters.
The quality of pellet brands very greatly from state to state. We recommend trying several different brands to find the best pellet in your area.
