Timber Stoves was established in 2010 in Mt. Angel, Oregon. The Business resided in the historic “Old Wilco Building” that functioned as a general warehouse for the local farming community in the early 1900s.

The business caught its big break during the pandemic, when it became clear there was a need for quality outdoor heaters. We were happy to be a part of the solution to bring people back together in a safe way. To support local restaurants struggling with the pandemic, Timber Stoves donated patio heaters to their outdoor seating areas.

With our most successful year yet, we were able to build a stockpile of patio heaters for the upcoming season (Fall and Winter). This was a huge achievement for us and a goal of ours since the beginning.

On October 9th, 2021 a neighboring grain silo caught fire and eventually wiped out every building in the complex. Timber Stoves was destroyed. With our stockpile of heaters gone, all of our manufacturing equipment ruined and our peak season right around the corner, this couldn’t have happened at a worse time.

Was it time to call it quits? To lose everything that had taken over 10 years of hard work to create was crippling but giving up was never an option. The most crucial element of the business was still intact, and that is the same team that continues to drive Timber Stoves forward to this day.

Starting from scratch has been difficult. We have had to recreate our production system, replace all of our equipment and move to a new location twice. While all this was happening, two foreign made imitations of our heaters were released. In the end, this just helped spread the good word about the quality of our American Made patio heaters!

Since the fire, we have released an all new line of stainless steel heaters and cooking devices. We are excited for the future and will continue to innovate and stay true to our company standards of honesty, hard work, and quality.
